The Men’s Basketball 2024 recruiting cycle is off to a great start. The Jays have had a few visits from prized recruits: 4* recruits PG Juni Mobley, SFs Tyler Betsey & Darrion Sutton, PF Jackson McAndrew, & SG Larry Johnson, C JT Rock; have all been on the Hilltop. 3* PG/SG Tyler Davis also visited back in June ’23.

21Sept 2023: #53 Rivals/#95 247, SG Larry Johnson commits to the Bluejays!
We missed on a SG/SF who committed to Coach Rick Pitino and St. Johns. But young Mr. Johnson showed up on 14 September, for an Official Visit, no less. Surprise! He had stated he had a good time on the Hilltop. Larry stated he has a good relationship with Mac and the staff, and loved his time with the team, loves the Jays style of play.
In choosing the Jays today, Larry restated all of the above, as well as, his seeing himself contributing right away in the Bluejay’s style of play. He is also looking forward to playing for the 18K in the stands.
