Doc: I’m sorry to say but it’s Terminal…

It’s a longshot, but there’s only 1 potential cure: A “Creighton Run“.

My Jays have been muddling along. Win 1 / lose 1, now lose 3 in a row. Not looking good from up here in the nosebleed section.

Hell, It’s finally February and we’ve seen worse seasons though…and this one ain’t over yet. It ain’t over, ’til it’s over / ’til the fat lady sings / ’til the paint dries / etc., etc.. Over the course of seasons’ past our Jays have taken the bull by the horns and have turned muddlin’ seasons into ones’ to remember…The situation is bleak…13-11 overall, 7-6 BE…and a tough stretch ahead. Can we be on the cusp of another season turnaround? I certainly hope so.

At this juncture of the 2025-26 season, we’ve seen games we ‘shoulda won’ slip away. We’ve been blown out of games we were favored to win. And we’ve been simply clobbered by favored teams. It ain’t been pretty.

The Jays are slated 5th in the Week 14 (Feb 3rd) BE Power Rankings behind Seton Hall. Now, here in February, the last lap. Our Jays have 3 of 5 on the road against the top 3 teams in the league. Over the next 2 weeks Feb 11th-25th,.DePaul bookends a tough run: @DePaul, Nova @CHICO, @Uconn, @StJ, DePaul @CHICO. Jays close out the regular season with Prov Feb 28th @CHICO and the finale on Mar 4th @Butler/Hinkle.

It’s ‘do or die’ time for the 2025-26 Basketball Jays!

The “don’t quit” play of the last victory over the SH Pirates (Feb 7, 2026) was stunning! A thrilling finish designed to give heart attacks to the uninitiated. This is the kind of play that starts runs, both in-game and over several games. Either come together and string a magnificent run of W’s or slither & slide to the season’s end with a continuance of hit and miss (W1/L1) pattern we’ve seen to date. It’s really quite simple at this point: No February Run – No Postseason!

It’s gonna be fun to watch this team… Do thy have the Juevos to storm February 2026 and make another legendary “Creighton Run Or will they fade to black and a very disappointing season? Grab another bowl of popcorn and your fav beverage…and hold on tight folks! Hmmm? Jays make a run and Mac stays another season – no run and he quietly walks away.to golfing heaven in Arizona.

We shall see!
