Jays Making it Rain, baby.

Rainin’ 3’s

It’s been a good wait. A little bit of an anxiety laced wait, but a good one none-the-less. Now the payoff baby…

TyTy’s a Bluejay!

TyTy Washington – Tipton Edits

Mason Miller next… C’mon Hunter!

Started off attempting to catch Arizona State for TyTy’s committment. Then others got in the mix, Wash St., Illinois, etc. Ultimately, the choice was between Illinois and CU, according to 247’s Jerry Meyer and Eric Bossi. Creighton has a strong position with the 6-3 point guard out of Chandler (Ariz.) Compass Prep.

TyTy, #67 on 247’s rankings is expected to crack the Top 50 on their next 2021 Rankings cycle.

Jerry Meyer – “Washington has a physical presence on the court and can turn the corner on a ball screen with vengeance. He finishes with authority and has court awareness while on the move. The jump shot keeps the defense honest, and he will defend and rebound.”

With TyTy’s commit, the Jays 2021 Class jumps to 54.24, #29 in the 247 Team Rankings. This class has the potential to be a all-time banner class for the Hilltoppers. If PF Mason Miller commits, as expected on Wednesday, Creighton will jump further up the list to 61.50, #8 nationally.

Again Congrats to TyTy Washington and to Coach Mac… You both done real good!

Roll Damn Jays!

Jays Sign 1st Two in the 2021 Recruiting Haul…

Three more to go…

Creighton signed both of its early commits on the 1st day of the early signing period. Both PG Ryan Nembhard and SG John Christofilis inked their commitment papers today.

Nembhard is a 4* PG from Canada, by way of Monteverde Academy in Florida. Christofilis is a 3* SG from Seattle, O’dea HS.

Coach Mac said:
“We are thrilled to add Ryan Nembhard and John Christofilis to our basketball program,” said Creighton head coach Greg McDermott. “First and foremost both young men are of high character.  Additionally, they have skills to flourish in our up-tempo system. Ryan’s ability to make other players better and John’s ability to stretch the floor will help us immediately in our quest to compete for BIG EAST Championships. Both players come from elite high school programs and top-notch club programs. They have been developed and coached at an elite level and they have competed for and won championships. We cannot wait for them to get to campus and join their teammates.”

Creighton has the potential to land an all-time class for 2021. The Jays are in the thick of the battle for 3 more substantial recruits. 5* CG Hunter Sallis of Omaha – 247 #6, and 2 4* players. 247 #64, PF Mason Miller of Germantown, Tennessee and 247 #57 PG TyTy Washington of Chandler, AZ.

The signing of Nembhard and Christofilis gets the class of 2021 off to a great start.
