The Men’s Basketball 2024 recruiting cycle is off to a great start. The Jays have had a few visits from prized recruits: 4* recruits PG Juni Mobley, SFs Tyler Betsey & Darrion Sutton, PF Jackson McAndrew, & C JT Rock; have all been on the Hilltop. 3* PG/SG Tyler Davis also visited back in June ’23.
4* SF/SG Jaiden Glover had said a visit to Creighton was scheduled (24Aug23), but the visit never materialized.
However, international sharpshooting Wing Eduardo Klafke is currently on an Official Visit to the Hilltop. Another Coach Miller ‘find’ down at the NBA Academy in Mexico.

Creighton Alum & Legend is back on the Hilltop. Mitchell Ballock decides to return to Creighton after 2 years of professional basketball overseas. Mitch is embarking early on his dream of becoming a basketball head coach. He begins his new career with his alma mater as the latest graduate assistant to Creighton Basketball and Coach McDermott.
Ballock was a starter and integral teammate for the Jays from 2017-2021. Mitch was a key player and 3Pt leader for the #7 Jays (end-of-year ranking) and the 2019-2020 Big East Champions.

Iron Man Mitch – 2019-20 Junior Mitch Ballock led the BIG EAST with 35.97 minutes per game, a number that climbed to 36.83 minutes per contest in overall play, as he played all but 57 minutes in CU’s 18 league games. He is CU’s first player to lead a conference in minutes played per game (all games) since at least 1996-97.
