MSoc:  Jays beat St Johns.  #1 Men’s Soccer Earns 12th Straight Win With Late Goal

WSocCreighton women’s soccer team fell at St. John’s 4-0 on Sunday, Oct. 11.

The loss dropped Creighton to 10-6-0 on the season and 2-3 in BIG EAST play, while St. John’s moved to 12-2-0 overall and 4-1 in conference action.



WVB:  Jays sweep Marquette. Scores of the match were 25-19, 25-21, 25-16.

The victory for Creighton (13-7, 7-0 BIG EAST) was its eighth straight, and improves the Bluejays to 7-0 in conference play for the first time ever. Marquette fell to 12-7 on the year and is 4-3 in BIG EAST play.

It has been a interesting week for the Jays.  

MSoc:  The Bluejays are on a roll.  The #1 team (unanimous) in the U. S. for 5 weeks now and a come from behind win in their most recent test over Drake.  Currently 11-0 with their next game on 10 Oct vs St Johns.

WSocJunior Lauren Sullivan delivered her second multi-goal match of the season to push the Creighton women’s soccer team to a 3-1 win on Sunday, Oct. 4. The win elevated Creighton to 9-5-0 on the season and 1-2-0 in BIG EAST play, while Villanova fell to 1-11-0 overall and 0-3-0 in conference action. Sunday provided Creighton head coach Ross Paulewith his first career BIG EAST victory.  Team plays at Seton Hall this evening. 





WVBCreighton Volleyball swept Georgetown on Tuesday for its sixth straight win.


Scores of the match were 25-17, 25-22, 25-19.

Creighton (11-7, 5-0 BIG EAST) remains in first place in the BIG EAST, while Georgetown fell to 7-11 (1-4 BIG EAST).

Recruiting:  Jays get Mintz…breathe easier. 1st 2016 commit.  Lone open scholie is filled.  Several articles on BJB, BJU, and at Hoopseen.  Sneakily athletic, quiet scorer.  Davion has some Nate Funk in his game – plays downhill, a shooter with an outside-in style, and never met a shot he didn’t like.  A great addition to the team.
