PF Arthur Kaluma’s a Bluejay!

This afternoon young Arthur Kaluma committed to the Jays over Arizona, Syracuse, and others who were courting his basketball prowess and services. Arthur becomes the highest ranking recruit for Creighton since the recruiting services began rankings in 2007. Arthur is tallied at #46-ESPN, #47-Rivals, and #45-247.com. Kaluma’s commitment moves the 2021 Recruiting Class from #19 up to #7 in the 2021 247 team class rankings. Jays should be back in the preseason Top 25’s. Excellent decision Arthur. Welcome to the Hilltop…Let the Good Times Roll!

“I like the pieces they have and think I can come in and help them win games, achieve what we need to achieve and make a name for myself at Creighton,” Kaluma said. “They play an NBA style, which will help further prepare myself for the next level I want to reach.”

“I’m a versatile 4-man that can stretch the floor and create plays for teammates,” Kaluma said. “I watched a lot of film of the players they recruited, and I love the fit. Especially Ryan Nembhard, who is a great point guard who will be a big piece for me. I played against John Christofilis at BFL — he’s a hard-nosed, knockdown shooter.”

Some were a bit concerned after a mini-tumult this spring with Jrs. leaving, Mac’s misstep, and ol’ TyTy decommiting. Not I. We are in on too many great recruits to whiff on ALL of them.
