Jays_Maui

They’ve got the #1 seed playing the #2 seed in the 2nd round (same side of the bracket). Hmmm.

2022 Maui Invitational Bracket

So as it stands…Jays will face a ranked Texas Tech team 1st, on Nov 21st. Next up is #2 seed and top 10 ranked Arkansas, on the 22nd. Then, whomever comes thru the other side of the bracket in Game 3, in the championship of the event (probably SDSU or Arizona).

Wait One… Jays are getting dissed! We are playing in the 4 vs 5 game?

Okay. I thought they had screwed up? Nope, just disrespecting us. 1 vs 8, 4 vs 5. Other side: 2 vs 7 & 3 vs 6.

Barkley Stays with TNT/NBA…

Charles Barkley, TNT/NBA

Golf News: Barkley stays with TNT/NBA. Sportscaster Charles Barkley ended speculation irt a potential move to the LIV Golf Tour.

A slow post discussions response by LIV prompts Barkley’s decision. He ended discussions as he was still waiting on a LIV response to previous talks. The LIV Tour had not responded nor made an offer as of this weekend’s event.

Barkley was participating in the Pro-Am at the LIV Tour’s Bedminster, NY. Event.

Barkley cited loyalty & gratitude towards TNT as part of his rationale for this decision. “I want to thank Greg Norman and LIV for their interest in me. But, it is best for me to move on and I’m staying with Turner.”

He had received calls from several sponsors last week after news broke that he was in discussions with the LIV Tour. It is unknown what role sponsor “pushback” may have played in this decision.

Barkley is fulfilling his current TNT contract. He has 3 years remaining, @ $10 Million a year. It would have been enlightening to see what the LIV would have offered him.

Oh well, what’s done is done.
