Visitation Update – 20 August 2014

Update on Recruiting Visits

The landscape for the 2015 recruiting season is everchanging.  The latest notification, per BlueJayBanter.com (Creighton.Rivals.com) is a great one. https://creighton.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1671962
Duncanville, TX recruit, SG Matt McQuaid has scheduled an official visit to the Hilltop.  Plans are his visit will come on 06 September, 2014.  Great news indeed.  Matt is planning to take 3-4 visits prior to making his collegiate decisión.  He is a top recruit by all the major recruiting services and is definitely one of the Jays top targets for 2015.  According to the article, the Jays are very much in the mix for Matt, as he likes the style of play, that CU is a basketball 1st school, and that he has a great relationship with the coaches and players.

Also, coincidentally, the official visit by Chicago area PG Glynn Watson is now listed for the same weekend as McQuaid’s visit.  Let there be no doubt, the 5/6 September visit weekend is a Big Deal, as both of CU’s top recruiting candidates will be on the Hilltop together.  PG Watson and SG McQuaid are the Top 2 recruiting targets on the Jays listing.  In the Bluenotes opinion (IBO) they are “Must Get” recruits.

There are a couple of other PGs (Lott, Buie) who have stated they would visit Creighton in September as well, but no visit dates have been set.  In a perfect Bluenotes world, Henry Ellenson would drop in for an unofficial on 5/6 September 2014, just to make my day.  But alas, the world is not perfect.

Late Entry- 26 Aug 14:  More news.  Top 100 PG Glynn Watson has trimmed list to 3 schools: Creighton, Nebraska, and Tennessee.  Visits to UNL and Creighton still set, UT visit is pending.

Late Entry- 25 Aug 14:  Good News.  Top 150 SG Isaiah Moss is reportedly on Campus today.
