Coach Mac & Staff getting it done on the recruiting trail
Top Transfer Baylor Scheierman comes home to the Jays
Coach McDermott and staff have done it, again. The Creighton staff has repeated last years late recruiting surge, and in doing so, have landed the two main pieces the team needed. 1st they signed 4-star Ctr Fredrick King on the 29th and now added Wing Baylor Scheierman to the fold. Scheierman brings additional 3-point prowess to the stacked Bluejay roster. These moves firmly cement Creighton as a Top 10 team in the 2022-23 campaign.
Creighton has landed one of the top transfer players in the portal. SDSU wing Baylor Scheierman has commited to the Bluejays. Scheierman was the top player for the So Dakota St Jackrabbits (30-6 last season) and led them to the NCAA Tournament. Summit League PoY. Baylor posted good numbers on the year: 16 ppg, 8 rbg, and 4.5 asts. His split was 49 / 41 / 79. He is the #4 transfer player on ESPN, #21 on CBS. Baylor should be able to translate his play into the Bluejay’s system well.
The hype will get bigger and louder as the off-season progresses. This should be great fun to watch. Especially all the conservative majority of Creighton fandom. Uncharted regions/territory – Billy hunting for glory and the Grail!
Way to go Lil’ Creighton. Roll damn Jays.
