The additions of St Thomas, Holy Cross, and UC Riverside are good games. However, I was expecting at least one more major game – (Iowa, KU, Mizzou, Wisconsin…or the like). St Thomas and Riverside are good midmajor games, although I would have preferred either Drake or UNI.
I am happy/pleased as punch for the Holy Cross (Jesuit-Worcester, MS.) (woo-ster) game. Historic- Legendary are apt descriptors for HC sports of old. The Crusaders last made an NCAA in 2016. The Jays last played HC during their heyday – in 1956. The college is one of nine schools to have won an NCAA championship in both baseball (1952) and basketball (1947). The Crusaders spanked the Jays in Boston, Jan. 1951 – 67-47, and again in Boston, Feb 1956 – 97-60. Alltime Series: Crusaders lead: 2-0
We will need to ‘milk’ the hell out of the Maui Invitational crown and that win in Austin to elevate this non-con slate. The Chico is holding the 2022 NCAA Volleyball Championships in mid-December, making additional home games a crap shoot.
