The baton has been passed…Let’s get to it!
“We’re leaning into the challenge and are certainly excited about what lies ahead.” Alan Huss
November 2, 2026.
And so it begins.
Here we go… The 2026-2027 college basketball season begins. A new era of Creighton Basketball begins. The Alan Huss era begins… with a home tilt versus the UMKC Kangaroos tonight. The 1st of many games and seasons for the Hussbuss Jays!
The Alan Huss Era of Creighton Basketball! May God bless Coach Alan Huss…daily! Long may he reign!
The road has been long, circuitous, and not guaranteed. From Kansas City to Creighton…with other stops along the way. As a player, high school coach, assistant coach, coach-in-waiting, and now as head coach. A good coach and great recruiter…Coach Huss’ journey placed him ‘in the right place at the right time’. Now he has the opportunity to lead his alma mater as the Men’s basketball 17th head coach in Creighton history.
Many hailed and heralded predecessors have held the job. The goal is to leave his unprecedented mark of excellence on the program, in his own style. Fortunately, there are many goals and milestones yet unturned, as well as a few previous ones to be repeated (championships & banners). All Hail Coach Huss! May he lead us to heretofore unreached heights of sports/basketball acclaim and glory.
All the Best ahead Coach Huss… Plenty of milestones and goals to reach…’and miles to go before we sleep’! Let’s get to it my man!
