Post Independent Era (1978 – Present)

This is a cute little exercise that many folks put forth, from time-to-time, to stir fanbase interest and restoke discussions about the greatest of the great in Bluejay folklore.

It’s late summer and the livin’ is easy… Jays have filled their roster and we’re just milling about smartly, skatin’ along til sumthin’ better comes along.

Sooo, ‘hows’ about cookin’ sumthin’ up with me’…old git! This isn’t my all-time favs selection – Obviously! My all-time list ALWAYS begins with Matthew Dorwart…my boy “Matty D”!!!. This isn’t an All Names list either, as that one starts with Booker Woodfox – ol’ “Bookwood for 3”. So don’t get your knickers all wadded up in a bunch. I really struggled with putting Zegarowski on the 2nd Team over Dotzler… Also can’t believe I left JJ, Antoine Young, John C, & GG off this list!!??

OOPS! Had Dane Watts listed twice (one of my favs of all time)! Fixed it with Big Bad Brody Deren! Deren epitomizes Creighton Basketball – floor burns, mean n nasty attitude on the court, high motor, hustle, and effort, and left it all ‘on the court’ – win or lose! My man Brody!
