Late Recruiting Additions to Jays…

Never too late to add quality players.

Jays add 2 in August!!!

Hah! Recruiting is never done. Huss still ‘beating the bushes’ for players… Had a close commit with the Euro guard, but hit academic snags. The coaches kept their noses to the wheel. Federal court injunction grants another year for 2022 frosh… Voila!

Jays pick up additional depth in August! Just in….former Jay Fred King granted another season…and returns home to the Hilltop. Had a stellar breakout campaign last season at Murray State/MVC, under HC Ryan Miller. King had backed up Jays record setter Ryan Kalkbrenner for 3 years prior to going to Murray State. Quality addition to the pivot.

NEWS: Fred King, named in the Kentucky fifth-year eligibility lawsuit, will be heading back to Creighton, he told @TheFieldOf68.

The old saying is that you can ‘never have enough guards’… Local debate is whether the jays had enough point guards this season? Some contended the BJ Davis is not a PG, that frosh Katrelle Harmon is not a PG (although that has been his position his entire basketball life thus far). Whether the Jays could get away with playing SG’s Swartz or Enis at the PG, though both are clearly shooting guards.

Enter Brody Robinson. Robinson is an undersized (5’11” / 160) playmaking PG, from Houston, TX, who also shoots the lights out. Robinson hails from Oakland U, an up and coming midmajor program, where he put up great numbers…and played against several high major teams in 2025-26 season. He adds another experienced playmaker to the roster. (Davis – Robinson – Harmon)

Roster depth matters. The season is long and one never knows what may transpire. Jays have filled the roster and have quality players up and down the roster. The Hussbuss is loaded! Well done Creighton. Now go out and kick some butts come November!
