To the Winners…the Spoils

Congrats to the Champions!

Well. The 2025-26 college basketball season has come to a close. The vast majority of us have had great fun this season, though for the most part we were dissappointed that our team may not has achieved all that we had hoped for.

Congratulations to the Champions!

UCONN

Everybody & their Mama is pickin’ May/Michigan!

Here we go folks! The Natty! NCAA Championship game tonight. Two high powered teams – UMichigan from the Big Ten and UConn from the Big East. Great matchup of teams and conferences.

Michigan has been an offensive juggernaut this season…and has comfortably rolled thru their NCAA Tourney slate of games. The Wolverines bested Howard, St Louis, ‘Bama, & Tennessee to make the Final four. UConn has also fared well in the Dance, winning over Furman, UCLA, with a close game vs Michigan St, and a last second nailbiter vs Duke. Michigan bested Arizona and UConn bested a 3rd B1G team, Illinois, enroute to the championship game.

Pedigree:

  • UMich – 8 previous trips to the Final Four, 1 National Championship (1989 ). Michigan is 1-7 in NCAA title games (2018).
  • UConn – 7 previous trips to the Final Four, 6 National Championships (2024). Uconn is 6-0 in NCAA title games (2024).

Nuff said.

Git’s Pick:

Contrary to the vast majority of media and online talkin’ heads who favor Michigan. I’ll go with my proven Big East commodity.

University of Connecticut wins it’s 7th NCAA Men’s Championship since 1999!

#GoBigEast #GoHuskies!

Ha! NCAA tryin’ to ‘relegate’ the Big East to mid-major status. Ha! Selection committee only gave the Big East 3 tournament bids! Ha!

Yes Martha…There is a God! He’s a Big East fan…

3 NCAA Tourney bids…and 1 NCAA Championship!

#Roll, Big East, Roll
