BE – B12 Battle extended two years thru 2024-25
2023 Recruiting – Legacy Commit!! #RDJ
July was a big month for the Bellevue West senior. Playing on the Nike EYBL circuit for Mokan Elite, Dotzler was hoping to play well enough to get a few more offers. He did. Josiah’s Mokan Elite team won the Peach Jam (3rd Title). Mission accomplished.

Josiah is the top-rated recruit in the state of Nebraska for 2023. He has been getting progressively better all spring and summer. The Jays were waiting and evaluating him all along, but have a slew of current PGs. The staff wanted to see how much better Josiah could become. He has consistently improved as the year progressed.
The younger brother of CU’s Josh Dotzler, Josiah has grown up around the Hilltop and the program. “I have been on a lot of unofficial’s to Creighton recently and Illinois State has been trying to get me on an official for a long time,” he said. “Colorado State has talked to me a lot recently and been consistent.”
“I played well at their (Creighton) team camp so I went back the next day and played with their guys,” he said. “They have been saying they really like me but they are really backed up at the guard spot. They said they want to see how July goes and we will talk more about what they are thinking in August.”
The Bluejays offered him. Josiah committed. Done deal.

NEW YORK – (August 1, 2022) The BIG EAST and Big 12 Conferences have announced a two-year extension to the BIG EAST-Big 12-Battle, their men’s basketball non-conference scheduling alliance which has been in effect since 2019-20. The extension will include competition in November and December during each of the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.
With each conference adding member schools since the start of the original agreement, The Battle will increase from 10 to 11 matchups between the conferences during the two extension years. The Big 12 will host six games in 2023-24, and the BIG EAST will host six contests in 2024-2025.
The Battle matchups will continue to be jointly determined by the two conferences, with the home team choosing the venue of its game.
