Jays picked up there 2nd commit of the summer for 2027! Another… little known shooter (outside of Ohio). Another Apke, Harstad, Rodzilla, Korver, Bookwood, McD, Wragge, Z, or McAndrew. Another in the line of ‘where’d they find HIM’ type of Creighton shooter! Welcome to CJ Reef…good name! C’mon home in 2027 to Mr. Profit and to Mr. Osaruyi!

2027 – SF London Dada, H.S. 2027 6-8/190 Omaha Westside HS, Omaha, NB. #78 247 Sports /#! player in Nebraska. Committed on 29 May 2026.

2027 – SG CJ Reef HS 2027 6-3/190. Western Reserve Acad, Hudson, Ohio. Prep Hoops has him listed. NR on major sites.

Reef commited on July 3, 2026. Had visited twice, last vivit with PG/SF Profit in June.

2027 PG (sf) Jeremiah Profit Visited 16 June 2026. 6-5/180 He jumped to No. 70 in the 247Sports Composite on June 22 after debuting at No. 79 in December. 247Sports ranks him No. 74, ESPN No. 76 and Rivals at No. 77. All three have him among the top 10 in California. Profit states he has been a PG his whole life.

Tidbits:

Hmmm? Longtime Oregon Assistant Mike Mennenga joins the HussBuss. Could he bring in the bacon as well? Mennenga’s recruiting chops have taken a hit these last few years? Could a fresh start reinvigorate him? Signing Paul Osaruyi would be the biggest ‘get’ for the Jays since Benoit Benjamin, and the top Creighton recruit in the ‘modern era’!

…and… While I sorely miss the 4th of July fireworks in DC, as seen from either Anacostia or Boling AFB, this is pretty damn good!

Top 100: 2026 Late pickups?

The lone ranger here: I am still expecting one of the 3 frosh SF recruits from Alabama to decommit. I am also expecting at least 2 of UMichigan’s 9 commits (6 frosh/3 transfers) to decommit – post Dusty May’s departure for the NBA. Top frosh McCoy and Costello have not re-affirmed commitment. Transfer Ctr Jalen Reed has not re-affirmed commitment.

Preferrably SF Richardson from ‘Bama.

Preferably SF Cosby, PG McCoy, PF Costello, & PF Estrella from Michigan. 4/5Jul2026-McCoy affirms UMich commitment. Costello??
